The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) is seeking board-certified pediatricians for a full-time position as Division Head of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics. The person will join our dynamic and collegial team where the position includes exclusively academic teams for inpatient pediatric care on our general and intermediate level units, newborn nursery, and the pediatric sedation team. Academic time is protected and allows focus on research, teaching, curricular development, quality improvement, safety initiatives and simulation-based education and innovation. We collaborate with our medical and surgical subspecialties and serve as the primary admitting service for most medical specialties while providing consulting and co-management roles for our surgical colleagues.
Position Summary

It is expected that the new Division Head will enhance clinical operations with the goal to grow and expand current clinical offerings. The Division Head must exhibit the qualities required to be a successful leader in a complex organization, including working collaboratively across various organizations and effectively promoting the Division with community providers, leaders, donors, and hospital executives.
