Job Description

About the Role: We are looking for a Retail Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in building assortments and strategies in SITKA owned brick & mortar retail stores.

This position will be located at our facility in Bozeman, Montana, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the product and purchasing teams to curate a compelling product assortment that meet consumer channel demands
  • Utilize data analytics and sales metrics to evaluate product performance, identify trends, and make data-driven merchandising decisions
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell through, sales to stock, sales/sq ft., etc. to implement strategies and optimize these metrics
  • Regularly review inventory levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete products, and develop strategies to clear excess inventory
  • Define pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to drive sales growth and maximize profitability
  • Work closely with the Buying/Planning team to ensure seamless product availability, timely fulfillment, and efficient inventory management
  • Partner with brick-and-mortar visual merchandising experts to optimize product presentation and enhance the customer experience
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute retail marketing campaigns, including in-store signage and staff training to support merchandising initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as a retail merchandiser, buyer, and/or analyst in a +$50M retail business.
  • Ability to drive sales to meet or exceed P&L goals while maintaining a high-end brand experience
  • Experience in KPI setting, tracking, and dashboard creation with the ability to extract insights from data and KPIs.
  • Strong proficiency in setting seasonal assortments in a regionally diverse and expanding retail channel
  • Experience participating and presenting strategies in all stages of the GTM process including seasonal strategy sessions, product line reviews, and milestone read outs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. marketing, buying/planning, creative, retail marketing, etc.)
  • Travel - 30%

To minimize disruption to the business, while supporting growth and development, Associates are expected to fulfill a minimum of 2 years in commitment before applying to another internal commitment. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved.
